ESG Investing
ESG investing integrates Environmental, Social, and Governance factors into the investment decision-making process, ultimately aiming to drive positive change while pursuing financial returns.
Key Components of ESG:
- Environmental: Focuses on issues like climate change, renewable energy, pollution, and resource conservation.
- Social: Evaluates factors such as labor practices, diversity, community engagement, and human rights.
- Governance: Assesses corporate leadership, transparency, ethical practices, and shareholder rights.
Environmental Social Governance (ESG) has certain risks based on the fact that the criteria excludes securities of certain issuers for non-financial reasons and, therefore, investors may forgo some market opportunities and the universe of investments available will be smaller.
